In a day and age of disposable income and on-the-go meals, Sky has avoided fast food restaurants for 50 years. Yes, 50 years. For a half-century, since before man landed on the moon, Sky has eschewed (I always wanted an excuse to use that word in a blog) America’s culinary pit-stop, the fast-food restaurant.
For 50 years (billions and billions of McDonald’s hamburgers served later), Sky has never waited in a fast-food drive-thru lane or set foot in a fast-food restaurant (except to use their restroom in an emergency). He’s never tasted a Big Mac, a Taco Bell Burrito or a Sonic Shake.
Dave and I got a chance to ask him what brought him to his fifty-year fast food fast and what are the challenges and rewards from avoiding fast food.
No holier-than-thou type, Sky explains his concerns with fast food, the factors that keep him out of the drive-thru lane and the benefits non-fast-food eating have had for him.
